Hub Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA)
Location - Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire
We are looking for a full time IDVAs within the North Lincolnshire area. Although experience working with families who have experienced domestic abuse would be helpful, what we're really looking for are people who have passion, commitment and dedication to supporting people to recover from domestic abuse. The role is fast paced and challenging, your day will never go as planned but it's also incredibly rewarding.

As an IDVA your primary role will be to provide a pro-active service to victims of domestic abuse, to keep them safe.
About the role
This role is up to 37.5 hours per week but there is flexibility to the hours to include evenings and weekends - please indicate on your application if you are interested in these type of hours.
You will provide a high-quality frontline service to victims of domestic abuse.
You will co-ordinate a multi-agency response that aims to reduce and manage the risk identified.
Work with survivors and other agencies and monitor the care pathway and ensure a link to the criminal justice system.
The work relies on the voluntary engagement of the client and therefore you will need to be confident in your abilities to build professional relationships with them, based on trust in order to successfully support them.
You will have proven experience of working with individuals, and a successful track record of working effectively with a range of external organisations and professionals.
You will lead by example, positively improving professional responses and creating a culture of communication and engagement. You will maintain high professional standards at all times, whilst ensuring measurable positive outcomes are achieved for the client group.
Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience
You will have great understanding of relevant legislation, policy and procedure relating to domestic violence and abuse.
You will have an understanding of the complexities and dynamics of domestic abuse
Able to motivate individuals and agencies to move through courses of action and decision making processes
Experience of providing emotional and practical support to people seeking support/advice
Experience of working in a multi agency/ partnership approach
An understanding of safeguarding and child protection issues, and the legal responsibilities surrounding these issues
You will be proficient in data management and the ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)
Excellent time management and organisational skills including the ability to meet tight deadlines.

Group Facilitator
Job Purpose: We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and trauma-informed Group Facilitator to lead recovery support groups for individuals and families who have experienced harm from domestic abuse. The facilitator will lead a variety of structured groups and programmes throughout North Lincolnshire, supporting our service users to cope with and recover from the impact of domestic abuse. You will create a warm, friendly and safe environment for all participants to engage effectively in support.
