How do I make a referral?
Although The Blue Door accepts self-referrals, we’d really rather professionals didn’t signpost people to us. It’s incredibly hard to make a disclosure of abuse, for some people it can take years to get the courage to ask for help. If someone has trusted you enough to tell you they’ve been abused or raped and ask you to help them please don’t ask them to call a phone number, visit a website or walk in to a building to tell someone else. See the below links and make a referral, do the hardest bit for them and we will take it from there. Thanks.
To refer someone to our counselling or Independent Sexual Violence Advisers (ISVA) service please click here for our online referral form or here to download a referral form to post to us if you would prefer.
To refer someone to our Domestic Abuse Service (North Lincolnshire only) you must complete a DASH risk indicator checklist to ensure that they receive the most appropriate support. Those that are not at high risk of immediate harm can be referred using the online form click here or click here to download a referral form.
High risk cases must be referred through the MARAC process. Click here to be redirected to Safer Neighbourhoods North Lincolnshire MARAC information page.
For North East Lincolnshire domestic abuse support please visit www.womensaidnel.org or here to make a MARAC referral.
