The Blue Door is seeking an ISVA to provide independent, specialist advocacy and support to survivors of sexual violence and abuse in line with national ISVA guidance and The Blue Door’s trauma-informed, survivor-centred approach.
The ISVA provides emotional and practical support, risk assessment, safety planning and independent advocacy throughout a survivor’s journey, including support through the criminal justice process where appropriate. The role empowers survivors to make informed choices, reduces the impact of trauma and promotes recovery while ensuring safety remains central to all interventions.
The role is based on voluntary engagement, requiring the ability to build safe, trusting professional relationships with survivors affected by trauma, fear and complex needs.
Working collaboratively with statutory and voluntary sector partners, the ISVA maintains professional independence while ensuring survivor voice, choice and autonomy remain central to all decision-making. The post holder will maintain high professional standards, deliver measurable outcomes for survivors and contribute to the continuous development of The Blue Door’s specialist sexual violence service.
Join us and be part of a supportive, values-led organisation making a meaningful difference every day.
