I need help
If you’ve experienced sexual violence or abuse, recently or in the past, we’re here to support you in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental way.
Whether it happened once or over a long period, whether you know the person or not, whether you’ve told anyone or are speaking up for the first time you are not alone. What happened was not your fault, and you deserve support.
Our specialist service offers a range of trauma-informed support options tailored to your needs.
First Steps: Initial Needs and Risk Assessment
When you contact us, a trained worker will arrange a time to speak with you safely and privately.
This first conversation is about:
Understanding your experience and current situation
Assessing any immediate safety risks or support needs
Identifying what kind of help might be most useful to you
Explaining your rights and options – at your pace
Everything you share is confidential. We’ll never pressure you to take any action or share details you’re not ready to. This is about helping you feel safe, supported, and in control.
Types of Support We Offer
Based on your needs and preferences, we can offer one or more of the following:
Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA) Support
If you’ve experienced sexual violence and are at risk of harm, or are thinking about reporting (or have reported) to the police, you may be offered support from an ISVA.
Your ISVA can:
Help you understand the criminal justice process
Offer practical and emotional support before, during and after police investigations or court
Advocate on your behalf with police, CPS, housing, healthcare or education
Develop a personalised safety plan
Support you whether you choose to report or not
You are in control. We support your decisions, whatever they are.
Counselling and Recovery Services
Survivors often tell us how powerful it is to connect with others who understand. We run peer-led or facilitated support groups for people who have experienced sexual violence and abuse
Our groups offer:
A safe, confidential space to share experiences
Peer support and connection
A chance to feel seen, heard and less alone
You don’t have to speak or share unless you feel ready – just being there is enough
Wellbeing Groups and Therapeutic Activities
We also offer wellbeing-based support to help you manage stress, reconnect with your body, and strengthen emotional resilience. These might include:
Creative arts and expression
Mindfulness or grounding techniques
Gentle movement or yoga for trauma recovery
Confidence and self-esteem building workshops
These sessions are designed to promote healing, build coping tools, and create moments of calm.

You Are Not Alone
Whether the abuse happened days, months or years ago, we are here to support you. You don’t need to have reported the abuse to access help. You don’t need to have all the answers. You just need to take that first step — and we’ll walk with you from there.
