Grimsby and Scunthorpe Rape Crisis are thrilled to announce that in April 2016 we will launch our integrated Domestic and Sexual Abuse Support Service, The Blue Door.
The Service has been commissioned by North Lincolnshire Council and is also funded in part by the Ministry of Justice, the Home Office and Police and Crime Commissioner Matthew Grove. It will replace current provision by our It’s My Right Advocacy Service and The Amber Project, employing 16 staff able to provide support for up to 1000 victims of domestic abuse and sexual violence per year.
Run as a ‘one stop shop’ style service individuals are able to refer themselves, online, by telephone and in person at a variety of locations throughout North Lincolnshire, including our Laneham Street Centre as well as being referred by any professionals.
Grimsby and Scunthorpe Rape Crisis have provided support for high risk victims of domestic abuse in North Lincolnshire through It’s My Right Advocacy Service since 2003 with separate provision for those experiencing domestic abuse at other levels of risk.
